Cobalt Ember - Rippled Blue and Gold Abstract

Contemporary Abstract & Mixed Media · horizontal

Vertical bands of saturated blue, yellow, orange and pink flow down the picture in rippling, liquid-looking waves. Cool blues on the left and right surround a glowing warm center. Thin dark jagged lines separate the color areas, and a dark red curved shape sits along the bottom edge. The whole surface is covered in fine, wavy, swirled texture.

A collector wants this piece for its glowing warm center held between two deep cool blues. Vertical bands of cobalt, sky blue, golden yellow, amber and pink ripple down the frame like melting color. A fine, wavy, slightly embossed-looking texture covers the whole surface. Many colorful abstracts are one flat wash or a busy scatter. This one has a clear warm-cool structure, a luminous stained-glass-like glow, and a dark maroon curve along the bottom that anchors it. Its appeal is visual: a bold, energetic color statement with depth.
